Working Principle
1) Horizontal Transport
During horizontal transport, the direct action of the scraper chain exerts a hauling force. This force, coupled with the greater friction between the material and the trough wall, ensures materials move as a single entity under the thrust of the scraper, facilitating forward movement.
2)Vertical Transport
In vertical transport, materials are propelled by the scraper thrust and their own gravity. The pressure exerted by the bottom materials on those above creates lateral friction, stabilizing the materials against movement. This collective frictional force overcomes the gravitational forces, enabling the scraper chain to push the materials upwards smoothly.
