Working Principle
1) Horizontal Transport
During horizontal transportation, the scraper chain's direct action ensures that the frictional force between the hauling level and the trough wall is greater than the internal friction of the material. This cohesion ensures the material moves as a unified entity, propelled forward by the thrust force of the scraper.
2)Vertical Transport
In vertical transportation, materials are propelled upward by the scraper's thrust, their own gravity, and the lateral pressure exerted by materials at the bottom. This pressure creates a stable frictional force between the materials and the trough walls, preventing slippage. The combined internal friction and traction overcome gravity and other forces, ensuring smooth vertical movement.
