Working Principle
1) Horizontal Transport
In horizontal transport, the direct action of the scraper chain increases the frictional force between the material and the trough wall, making it stronger than the internal friction of the material. This cohesion makes the material move as a single unit under the thrust of the scraper.
2)Vertical Transport
In vertical transport, the materials get moved by the scraper's thrust, gravity, and the support from the material below. This creates lateral pressure and friction, stabilizing the materials and overcoming gravity and friction within the trough, keeping the materials moving steadily upwards.
