The tube chain conveyor is composed of several key components including the tube body,chain disc,head wheel and tail wheel,feed inlet and discharge outlet,drive system, and tension device.
Working Principle
The tube chain conveyor is designed for the continuous conveyance of bulk materials such as powder,small granules, and small lumps within a sealed tube channel. It moves material along this channel by utilizing the chain piece as the driving component.
(1) Horizontal Conveying
In horizontal conveying, material granules are pushed in the direction of motion. When the friction between material layers exceeds the outer friction from the tube wall, the material moves forward, creating a stable material stream driven by the chain disc.
(2) Vertical Conveying
In vertical conveying, material granules within the tube experience an upward thrust from the chain disc. The downward material feeding prevents upper material slippage, causing lateral compression and increasing inner friction. When this inner friction surpasses the friction from the inside tube wall and the material's weight, the material is conveyed upward by the chain disc, forming a continuous material stream.
