Main Structure
The Scraper Conveyor comprises a trough, scraper chains, head and tail wheels, inlet and outlet points, drive device, and a tensioning device.
Working Principle
1) Horizontal Transport
During horizontal transport, the thrust generated by the scraper chain creates a greater internal frictional force compared to the frictional force between the material and the trough wall. As a result, the material moves forward cohesively under the thrust of the scraper.
2)Vertical Transport
In vertical transportation, material is moved upward by the combined thrust of the scraper and the material's own weight. The internal friction is sufficient to overcome both gravitational and trough friction forces, ensuring reliable vertical transport.
